Arkansas has several state agencies dedicated solely to improving Arkansas’s educational system and advancing the economic development of our State. The Departments of Education and Higher Education are committed to ensuring that every Arkansan can attain a world-class education right here in Arkansas. The Departments of Workforce Education and Workforce Services focus on training our citizens in the technical and vocational skills they need to pursue 21st-century careers, and then put Arkansans to work by linking job seekers with employers. Finally, the Economic Development Commission and Science & Technology Authority work to recruit new businesses and investments to our State, thereby creating new jobs, helping our existing companies grow, and incorporating leading-edge-technology.
