The Arkansas Department of Workforce Services provides its customers with workforce development services and solutions that enhance the economic stability of Arkansas. These services are provided to employers, job seekers and the general public. They include the following:
- linking employers with qualified job applicants;
- helping the employed and unemployed enhance their workplace skills;
- producing and communicating labor market information;
- administering the Transitional Employment Assistance Program;
- maintaining management information systems for employers, job seekers and the Workforce Investment System;
- providing unemployment insurance benefits to those eligible; and
- collecting unemployment insurance contributions from employers
